Campaign « ioki cares »

During the Corona pandemic, the Deutsche Bahn subsidiary ioki is making its on-demand platform available free of charge to cities, municipalities, communities, transport companies, social institutions, aid organizations and associations in Germany for use in the public interest with its « ioki cares » campaign. This enables local authorities and companies to book their existing vehicle fleets via app and thus deploy drivers and vehicles more effectively in order to organise people’s mobility. ioki’s on-demand platform can be used to maintain the mobility of people with system relevant professions or to enable helpers to care for people in domestic quarantine. Even reduced public transport services, such as scheduled services that are currently running on their holiday timetable, can be transformed into useful and efficient on-demand services.

« As a DB subsidiary, we are part of the lifeline of this society. We therefore consider it our social duty to make a contribution to the operation of this country. With ioki cares, we want to assist in making the daily work of helpers easier through individual and reliable mobility, » says Michael Barillère-Scholz, Managing Director of ioki.
