Viva Italia: ioki expands on-demand transport services in Italy

The jury was impressed by ioki’s innovative approach to sustainable mobility. The Sustainable Cities Challenge is funded by the Toyota Mobility Foundation and is conducted in collaboration with Challenge Works and the World Resources Institute.

Innovative Approach to Urban Mobility in Venice
The application by ioki is based on its proven combination of data-driven mobility analysis and flexible, on-demand mobility services. The submitted concept integrates active, shared, and public transportation into people’s daily lives and promotes door-to-door mobility with low or zero-emission options. This encourages citizens to embrace sustainable modes of transport.

International Competition
ioki has successfully competed against over 120 entries from around the world and is one of the 10 semi-finalists looking forward to the next round. The Frankfurt-based tech company is the only German company to make it to the semi-finals. In the next step, the mobility experts will travel to Venice to present their concept to the decision-makers.
