Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations for the Prevention of Human Rights Violations in Supply Chains

Dear Stakeholders,

on July 22, 2021, the German Federal Council (Bundesrat) passed the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations for the Prevention of Human Rights Violations in Supply Chains (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz – LkSG)
It obliges companies to systematically implement defined due diligence requirements in predefined human rights and environmental risk areas. Human rights and environmental risks in the company’s own business operations and those of its direct suppliers are to be prevented or at least minimized within this framework. These risks include, for example, child labor, forced labor, disregard for occupational health and safety standards, discrimination/ unequal treatment of employees, or withholding of an appropriate wage.

The Deutsche Bahn AG as a group with its business areas is directly affected by this obligation from 01.01.2023.

To ensure that the LkSG is complied with at ioki, as an affiliated company of the DB Group, and its supply chain, we have set up a complaint procedure. This is intended to provide any person or group of persons with the opportunity to submit relevant complaints or tips to Deutsche Bahn AG. This enables us to respond at an early stage to indications that point to human rights or environmental risks within our own business unit or within our direct and indirect supply chains.

Should you wish to file a complaint or a tip, you may address an email to complaint-lksg@ioki.com.
