In the christmas bakery …
It is getting colder outside, clothes are getting thicker and the leaves on the trees are getting less and less. It is December 1st and today marks the start of the annual one-month baking marathon. And because we are a particularly green company, here is our completely vegan baking recipe for you. Enjoy your time in the christmas bakery!
Ingredients
- 600 g wheat flour type 405 or 550 or spelt flour type 630
- 400 g margarine
- 200 g sugar
- 1 teaspoon Bourbon vanilla
Preparation steps
- Briefly whip the margarine with the whisk of the hand mixer, allow the sugar to trickle in and beat until frothy. If you are using vanilla and lemon zest, add the ingredients now
- Add the flour and quickly knead everything together with the long handle of a wooden spoon, then shape into a ball with your hands
- Cover the ball of dough and put it in the fridge for 1 hour
- Take the dough out of the fridge to work it. Be quick – If it gets too warm, it won’t work very well
- Roll out the dough to a thickness of approx. 1 cm.
- Place the biscuits on a baking tray covered with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200° top and bottom heat for 10 minutes. Of course, you can also bake with circulating air at 180°.
We wish you lots of fun baking and enjoying vegan treats! Together we want to protect the environment and be a little more sustainable by taking small steps – all together.
