Digital demand-responsive transport to strengthen public transport in rural areas

In collaboration with Cotral Spa, ioki has launched an innovative on-demand service in the rural area of Monti Reatini area, conveniently connecting 30 rural municipalities with the city of Rieti.

The „ChiamaBus” service, funded by the European Regional Development Fund, has been enhancing local public transport in the region since May 2023. The software from ioki provides userfriendly and accessible booking options via app or phone, ensuring flexibility for all age groups. By integrating „ChiamaBus”, Cotral Spa and ioki have made the region’s mobility services more flexible, accessible and attractive to everyone, regardless of where they live. In May 2024, the service was extended for another 18 months.
